boys 13 and under 200 yard medley relay is given in memory of David E.
Porterfield |
| who
was raised in Larchmont and graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1964. |
| Upon
graduation he joined the Naval Reserve and volunteered for Fleet Marine
service in |
|
| Vietnam.
David was mortally wounded in Operation Hastings and was posthumously |
|
| awarded
the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. Dave loved all sports. He swam for
Larchmont |
| Yacht
and set many records. He loved the compettion and action of the Counties. |
